5 Reasons to Try a Thong

Thongs can often divide opinion! Rarely is an underwear style so controversial, with attitudes differing drastically as to their comfort and practicality. If you’re not sure whether this style is for you, we’ve put together the top 5 things we love about thongs – in particular, Y.O.U organic cotton ones. And who knows, maybe we can persuade you to try them for yourself!

What’s good about thongs?

  1. Invisible under clothing

Unlike most other underwear styles, thongs take No VPL to the next level. They’re a great choice if you’re after something discreet to lie under tight-fitting leggings or gym clothes, and their invisibility is one of the reasons so many women choose the style.
  1. Super comfortable!

This point is a bit more about personal preference, but for many women thongs are an especially comfortable style due to their lightweight nature and minimal fabric coverage. Because of their sleekness, thongs are much less likely to ride up and move around during daily activities. But you really need to try one to see how it works for you!
  1. Less expensive

Put quite simply, thongs are smaller than other underwear styles – which has a benefit in terms of cost. They’re often the cheapest style available in a given range. Y.O.U thongs have the lowest price of all our underwear (check out our full range of organic cotton thongs here, starting at £13).
  1. More natural shape

Because of their minimal coverage, thongs allow your natural body shape to shine through – much more than other underwear styles which hold you in.
  1. Cool and breathable

As one of the lightest underwear styles out there, thongs allow for a good amount of breathability and ventilation. But this is another aspect that really comes down to personal preference!

What’s good about Y.O.U thongs?

Speaking of breathability, organic cotton really is a winner. Because organic cotton is grown without the use of harsh chemicals, the final fibres are much longer and softer, which is great for sensitive skin. There are plenty of reasons to choose organic cotton over non-organic cotton. Other than the fact that it’s much better for you, it’s also much kinder to the planet!

All Y.O.U Underwear is made from GOTS Certified organic cotton. The Global Organic Textile Standard is a leading global certification for organic fibres, and the certification process requires thorough vetting of each stage of the supply chain – from harvesting, production, processing, manufacturing and labelling.

And on top of this, Y.O.U Underwear has an amazing buy-one-give-two partnership with the charity Smalls for All. For every thong you buy, we’ll donate two pairs of underwear to vulnerable women and children in Africa and the UK, with the overall goal of helping to improves access to education and other opportunities.
