Christmas is on its way and what better place to do your Christmas shopping than Oxford's Covered Market! Bustling with people looking for unique, independent shops to pick up thoughtful gifts, stocking stuffers, and delicious treats, the Market becomes a festive hub at this time of year. Take a look at our 2025 gift guide where we asked Traders to recommend their gifts of the season which you can shop in their stores.
1. Y.O.U Underwear
Starting off, of course, with
Y.O.U Underwear and our
organic cotton pyjamas in
black mara print. These super soft and comfy pyjama bottoms for men and women make the perfect gift for anyone on your list! Ethically and sustainably made, they also come in one of our organic cotton drawstring bags - meaning they're already beautifully wrapped! Plus we
donate one pair of underwear for every item that we sell, so this is a gift that gives back!
2. Gulp Fiction
Our next stop is Gulp Fiction, the perfect place to browse for the book lovers in your life while taking a quick coffee break. Olly recommends Philip Pullman's latest release which is part of the Book of Dust trilogy, as well as Charlie Mackesy's Always Remember. Plus, you can get a free mulled wine when you purchase these titles.
3. The Oxford Soap Company
The Oxford Soap Company's beautifully scented handmade soaps not only smell amazing but also look great around the house, bringing a pop of colour. Gift a colourful soap variety pack or an Elizabethan rose gift set with room spray, soap, and moisturising lotion packed with calming rose scent.
4. The Garden
For Christmas decorating, don't miss The Garden of Oxford, just next to the red Post Box, where you can pick up a gorgeous array of bouquets, house plants, and decorations. Whether you want to send a festive bouquet or pick up a Christmas tree, the lovely team will be on hand to offer their expertise.
5. Tap Social
A fellow Social Enterprise, Tap Social's locally-brewed beers support prisoners and prison leavers with paid work and training, assisting them in getting back into the job market. Their colourful gift packs make a great gift for tasting a selection of delicious craft beers.
6. The Woolhound
For the crafty people on your list, make sure to pop into The Woolhound, where the lovely Jess can advise you on yarn, accessories, craft kits, and more. The crochet granny square and needle felting gingerbread kits are great as stocking stuffers, while these zip pouches are perfect for crafting on the go.
7. iScream
Choose from a range of mouth watering sweet treats or indulgent self care gift packs in iScream and Wicked Chocolate.
