FAQs
About Our Underwear
Do you have a bralette for larger cup sizes?
What dyes do you use in your underwear?
All of our underwear is dyed with low-impact, fibre-reactive dyes that are safe and GOTS certified. They contain no heavy metals or other known toxic substances and meet all EU criteria for eco-friendly garments.
How do I know what size I am?
We have an easy to use size guide for all our underwear, which you can find here. We hope that makes it simple! If you're in between sizes, we recommend sizing up for comfort. If you need any specific sizing advice, use the chat function to send us a message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Can I get a refund, or exchange my underwear?
Can I use Y.O.U underwear as swimwear?
Our organic cotton undies can be worn in the sea, lakes, rivers and any other natural bodies of water. We recommend avoiding chlorinated pools or exposure to chemicals as this may damage the dye and fabric. Make sure to wash well after every use! Our team has used them when swimming outdoors and they are super comfy, retain their shape and don't come off when jumping in! If you're worried about them being see- through, our bralettes are double-lined ensuring ample coverage.

What shall I do with my old Y.O.U Underwear?
We're glad you asked! We recently introduced a recycling programme, using TerraCycle. You can send us your old underwear, sock and tights (any brand!) and we'll make sure they get recycled. Find out more about how to recycle here.
Will my underwear stretch?
Yes - it will mould perfectly to your body during the day! But don’t worry, it won’t lose its shape over time – it will always spring back.
Will my underwear shrink?
No, it shouldn't. All our underwear is made from pre-shrunk fabric, meaning it won’t shrink in the wash, even at higher temperatures. We’ve even had reports of zero shrinkage at (accidental) washing temperatures of 90 degrees!
How should I wash my underwear?
- We recommend washing all clothes in a cool wash (30 degrees), but if you’re worried about hygiene, it’s best to wash underwear at 60 degrees to kill germs (along with household linen and towels).
- Turn your undies inside-out when washing.
- Wash your bralette less often – once a week is enough!
- Hand dry for a smooth, crinkle-free finish (in case you’re the sort to iron your undies!)
- Add half a cup of white vinegar to your laundry loads to remove pesky stains, add brightness to whites and neutralise odours.

Where can I buy Y.O.U Underwear?
Sustainability
What is your underwear made from?
Where is your underwear made?
We work with India’s leading sustainable and ethical manufacturer.
We know that the growers, spinners and makers who produce our underwear are paid and treated fairly. In 2019 we even visited the factory for ourselves and met the people who make our underwear! Learn more about our factory and manufacturing processes here.
You're a B Corp - what does that mean?
We wanted to become a B Corp to show that purpose, people and planet mean more to us than profit. With giving back and sustainability at the heart of what we do, we're so pleased to have our work backed up by something as respected as a B Corp Certification. It's a rigourous process that took almost a year, but we came out with a score over double the necessary to qualify, and as the highest-scoring B Corp in the UK - and top fashion brand globally! You can read more about our B Corp Journey here.
Why do you plant trees with Ecologi?

They work with Eden Reforestation to plant trees ethically and sustainably, and have transparent data backing up their claims. Sign up to our newsletter here to plant a tree for free.
What packaging do you use?
Every order is packaged in reusable,100% organic cotton bags, then parcelled in a biodegradable mailer made from 100% recycled materials.
To further our zero-waste commitments, we’ve partnered with YagoEco to turn our mailing bags into beautiful green recycled plastic earrings! If you’d like to ensure your packaging gets reused, feel free to send any old mailer bags back to us at Y.O.U underwear, 11 Bodley Place, Oxford, OX2 7TF.
We also offer a £1 discount if you don't want our reusable cotton bags (or already have one), please use the code NOBAG at checkout.
Our Donations + Giving Back
How does your buy-one-give-one system work?
For every pair of Y.O.U Underwear from our core collection you buy, we donate one pair of underwear to the charity Smalls for All. They work closely with partners at home and abroad to ensure that underwear reaches the right people, in a sustainable and culturally conscious manner. We don’t usually donate our own underwear, instead supporting the local markets.
Who are Future Dreams, and how do you support them?
Future Dreams is dedicated to raising funds for support, awareness and research for those touched by breast cancer. A cause close to our hearts, we're delighted to be able to support the charity with a £1 donation for every pair of underwear sold from our light pink range.
How does the Mara Collection give back?
Our collaboration with KikoRomeo is inspired by traditional beadwork carried out by Maasai women in Kenya. Every purchase from our Mara Collection will provide a pair of underwear to girls in the Maasai communities of rigorous and Olorgesailie, as well as supporting the work of the Ajuma Foundation in Kenya.
How can I support Smalls for All directly?
There are a number of ways you can support Smalls for All:
