Ask Me Anything!

Ask Me Anything!

We're committed to growing our Positive Pants Club and a great way to do this is with transparency and trust - so we invited our customers to quiz our Founder & CEO Sarah with your burning questions! Here's how she answered.....

What's your favourite Y.O.U product?

"My favourite Y.O.U product is our super soft bralette - in a variety of colours! It took me a while to move away from underwired bras, which I've always worn, but now I have there is no going back!  I love the comfort, the soft style that can comfortably be worn all day, and the flexibility to wear the straps either straight or in the cross strap style depending on what you're wearing".

What size does Y.O.U underwear go up to?

"We are trying to be as inclusive as possible in our sizing, although it is a work in progress as a small business as it mean a lot of products to manufacture. At the moment our women's bottoms (thongs, bikinis and boy shorts) are available in UK sizes 6 to 22 (EU 34 to 50). Our soft, over-the-head style bralette comes in 4 sizes (XS to L) and we have just introduced a new, more supportive bra that comes in 6 sizes - 3 band sizes, with 2 cup sizes available in each. These go from approximately 28-30" chest band in C / D / DD to 36-38" in DD / E / F. We plan to continue developing more sizes and new designs to suit more bodies shapes and sizes, so please do let us know what you would like to see from us next - we can only do this with your feedback! We have a new mid-rise bikini coming soon, for example, which will offer more coverage and a more generous fit. In our men's trunks, we now have 3 styles available in sizes S to 3XL."

Are you selling at any Christmas markets?

"Yes, we will be at 3 different Christmas markets in Oxford this year, which we are really looking forward to. They are the Indie Oxford market at Tap Social on 26th November the Etsy Oxford Market at the Examination School on High Street on 3rd & 4th December, and then the main Oxford Christmas Market taking place in Broad Street from 10-18th December. We hope to see as many people as possible at those, so do come and say hello. You can always let us know if there are any particular products you would like to see at those and we can arrange a personalised click and collect service!"

Will you be bringing out any new products like nightwear or swimwear?

"We do have some exciting new products in the pipeline, although we're keen to continue using only fully certified organic cotton so that does inform our choices. We often get asked if our vibrant Mara products are swimwear and although we have swum in them on a number of occasions, most swimwear is actually made from synthetic rather than natural fibres. Even items made from recycled fabrics, such as plastic bottles, aren't in fact that sustainable and can only be reused a limited number of times, so we're keen to avoid them. Watch this space for some exciting new products over the next couple of months those, as we take our beautiful Mara fabrics into a new sleepy space :)

What other sustainable, ethical business do you most admire?

"I'm a big fan of many other sustainable businesses and I'm always discovering new brands and founders that I hugely admire. I was fortunate to be at an event with John from Pala Eyewear and Ruby from WUKA last week, both of whom I am a huge fan of and I love what they are doing with their businesses. I really like the inclusivity and design ethics of swimwear brand Deakin & Blue, who really support body positivity, and I love the storytelling and values of Jo Salter and her brand, Where Does it Come From? We also work with some amazing local sustainable business such as Wonky Food and Neve's Bees, who are both doing their bit to make a difference".
