The Newest High Fashion Trend: Peekaboo bras!

There seems to be a new trend sweeping the red carpet – peekaboo bras! This appears to be the next step in the evolution of the ‘barely there’ look – gone are the sheer dresses with nothing underneath in favour of the opaque fabric with visible underwear peeking out of the sides. It’s interesting to see how styles come and go – it was once an absolute no-no to have your underwear on show, but celebs like Sydney Sweeney and Scarlett Johansson are leading the way in showing that visible underwear can be the height of fashion!

On-show underwear is a firm festival staple and many celebs have been playing around with the trend this year. Heidi Klum's stunning Coachella ensemble below makes it clear that a peekaboo bra can be considered high-end fashion. Nowadays, there's such a wide range of bra styles to choose from, and each one has the potential to elevate your outfit in its own unique way. Whether it's a strapless bra or a racerback design, they offer an amazing opportunity to completely transform your look.

With so many stylish bra choices nowadays, why wouldn’t you want to incorporate them as part of your outfit? Our versatile Mara bralettes are the perfect choice! Available in sizes XS-L, these will catch the eye with their bright colours and striking patterns inspired by Maasai beadwork. Choose from our bestsellers in black & red, closely followed by blue, green and yellow. You can even cross over the back straps of any of our GOTS certified organic, Fairtrade and PETA-Approved cotton bralettes and more supportive bras, to add another element to an outfit.

Need more support? We recommend our more supportive bra, it comes in 3 band sizes, each of which is available with a standard cup size and a + cup size, providing greater flexibility to suit different body shapes. The thicker straps and supportive band will make a bold statement in any outfit. So whether you want to show off a peekaboo bra under a tank top or a ballgown, we've got you covered!

You could even go a step further and show off your pants! Visible panty lines used to be a laughing matter but now celebs are embracing what used to be a fashion crime. We have recently seen the likes of Swarovski crystal-studded thongs on the red carpet – if that isn’t luxury, I don’t know what is!

Go one step further and show off our Y.O.U branded boy shorts this summer. The thicker band is reminiscent of the traditional boxer and offers a bit more support than a traditional waistband.

These celebs are showing that your underwear can be fashionable and shouldn’t be hidden away, so why not try the trend for yourself this Summer?
